St. Teresa’s English Medium School is established and administered by the members of the society of Teresian Carmelites. It is a registered society under Bihar Government with the title-“Gokhla Teresian Carmelite Society”. The year of establishment of the school is 1989. It’s (Junior Section) situated in Bhagalpur town and the Senior Section at Aliganj.
St. Teresa’s School is a Catholic minority school. It is open to all without distinction of caste and creed. It’s object is to give a well balanced integral and all round development to young boys and girls by imparting an education which is morally, physically and mentally sound. In keep with the national aspiration it helps the student to become mature, spiritually oriented men and women of Character, active, useful and worthy citizens of India.
It is an institution where boys and girls grr up together in a healthy atmosphere of equality and mutual respect. It conducts Classes from Pre-Nursery to STD - XII. The School is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi. Hindi and Sanskrit are taught in the classes as the prescribed syllabus. Besides catering to the scholastic needs of its students, the school gives great importance to co-curricular activities such as physical training, sports and games art and craft, singing, elocution, quiz, debate etc. Occasions are provided to the students to display their talent and hence positive encouragement and co-operation from parents are essential.
